A presentation on the Water Supply Plan & Hydrogeology of the Westside associated with the Rosemont Copper Project developed by the Erroll L. Montgomery & Associates, Inc. This presentation was given to the Forest Service, the Cooperating Agencies, and their contractors during technical transfer meetings in January 2009.

UCAR Congressional Briefing
WRF-Hydro, a powerful NCAR-based computer model developed by a collaborative community drawing from academia, federal labs, and private industry, is the first nationwide operational system to provide continuous predictions of water levels and potential flooding in rivers and streams from coast to coast. NOAA's new Office of Water Prediction selected it last year as the core of the agency's new National Water Model. WRF-Hydro is designed to provide adaptable modeling for assimilation and prediction of precipitation, soil moisture, snowpack, groundwater, streamflow, and inundation.
LED, BGA, and QFN assembly and inspection case studiesBill Cardoso
In this tutorial we cover the manufacturing of the most challenging surface mount parts to assemble and inspect today: LEDs, BGAs, and QFNs. The tutorial focuses on the pitfalls of manufacturing and inspecting PCBs with these devices. Presentations will provide content to solve many of the technical challenges encountered by luminaire integrators and contract manufacturers. This tutorial is targeted at manufacturing, process, and quality personnel responsible for designing, implementing and/or controlling the surface mount device application and inspection process. Those personnel responsible for training operators and technicians to perform assembly inspection or control the manufacturing process would also benefit from this tutorial.
We will use a library of assemblies inspected at Creative Electron’s Advanced Solutions Lab to provide attendees with real life examples of assembly issues. Attendees are welcome to send their own assemblies to Creative Electron prior to the webtorial so that the material can be used during training.
Topics Covered:
How LED material handling and storage impact assembly performance
LED x-ray inspection: How voids cost you money
Case study: How lack of quality killed a successful LED company
Process design for BGA and QFN assembly and rework
BGA and QFN x-ray inspection: How to see what often goes wrong
X-Ray as a tool for quality process design and control
- All x-ray images taken with TruView X-Ray Inspection systems.
Statistical Process Control for SMT Electronic ManufacturingBill Cardoso
Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a statistical method to control and monitor the quality of a production line. In this presentation we cover the detailed development of a SPC program, from selecting the appropriate metrics for a manufacturing process to collecting data to analysing the data. Examples are used to show the power of SPC in diagnosing quality problems with SMT manufacturing lines. The early detection of problems is critical to the success of any manufacturing line.
2-Axis Gyroscopes for Optical Image Stabilization: STMicroelectronics L2G2IS ...Yole Developpement
Complete reports and comparison of the latest generation products for smartphones from the leading optical image stabilization gyro players.
2-Axis Gyroscopes for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) constitute a market where 123 million units were shipped in 2015, according to Yole Développement. This market originates only from high-end smartphones and two players share most of it: InvenSense, with 49%, and STMicroelectronics, with 39%.
The 2-axis gyroscopes are located inside the camera module of high-end smartphones. The main constraints are a small footprint and, more importantly, thinness.
Previously, thickness was the same as standard land grid array (LGA) or quad flat no-leads (QFN) package, close to 1mm. Now the standard is 0.65mm, which products from both InvenSense and STMicroelectronics attain.
InvenSense was first, with the IDG-2030, a 2.3x2.3x0.65mm gyroscope, which is still the smallest on the market. Since its introduction we found it in several smartphones from various manufacturers. The IDG-2030 uses the same Nasiri platform as other InvenSense inertial devices, with wafer-level integration of the MEMS sensor on top of the application specific integrated circuit (ASIC), thus providing only one die in the final LGA package.
Months later, STMicroelectronics released the L2G2IS, which shares the same dimensions. The device is manufactured using the same THELMA process as all STMicroelectronics inertial devices. The THELMA platform involves a two-die approach that is challenging for very thin package integration. However, both players now offer very low-cost gyros thanks to die size reduction and process optimization.
Both gyroscopes analyzed are 2-axis X, Y (Pitch, Roll). The two reports can be purchased separately or together in order to compare the technology and pricing of the main smartphone OIS gyro players, including previous generation products.

OLED for Lighting - Technology, Industry and Market Trends 2016 Report by Yol...Yole Developpement
THE FUTURE OF OLED LIGHTING COULD BE BRIGHT IF…
OLED revenues are mainly driven by display applications, e.g. smartphones, but the industry has also been trying to target lighting applications for several years, based on the technology specifics in terms of design or form factor and efficiency. On this new battleground, OLEDs are competing with LED technology, which has already paved the way with a revolution in Solid State Lighting (SSL) drawing attention away from OLED over the last 10 years. Added to that, the high cost of OLED technology is not making market penetration easier, current low efficacy is slowing adoption and the advantages claimed by OLED lighting companies are not necessarily perceived by the customers. OLEDs will therefore have to find niche or “spark” markets to develop production scale momentum and create a marketing window allowing them to demonstrate the advantages and possibilities of the technology to customers.
I prepared this presentation when I was pursuing my MBA (2009-2011). That time It was not a vast subject. We did not expected that Digital Marketing will be very important part of today's Business. But still this presentation covers the basic we need to know about Digital Marketing.
