- #27 Jacob has a dream in which he sees a stairway set in the ground and arching towards heaven. Angels go up and down this stairway. These ‘messengers’ carry out God’s will. Here the Lord renews His promises. Jacob feels blessed as he leaves Canaan. Through the angel, Yahweh will be with the people and bring them to the promised land. The notion of ‘journey of life’.
