a large Government Institution. It serves to provide
an online interface for confinement
facilities within the country. The audit instrument
helps the compliance managers to manage each
facility and the practices within the prescribed
framework.

3. The client is a large government organization which is
working in the justice department to create an
instrument for audits of the prisons within the
country.
The institution takes several such IT programmes
every year to modernize the infrastructure and
create better administrative tools and policies for the
public life.

4. The client was looking forward to build an audit instrument that
could enable the compliance managers within the prisons to
manage each facility as per the prescribed government norms.
This required to creating a system that had a log to be filled in the
form of a questionnaire related to the government standards and
related supporting official documents.

5. Successive Software built the entire system as per the government
regulation and compliance norms. The data security was a prime
responsibility during the project and all information was encrypted as
per the project guidelines. The system involved filling of a pre-audit
questionnaire in which the answers are required as per the facility
practices along with supporting documents. A email notification is
send to the assigned Auditor once the questionnaire has been
submitted giving a full view into the facility and agency responses.
The Auditor Compliance tool groups facility responses into subsections and allows the
auditor to mark yes/no under various heads. Auditor is also required to provide comments
and supporting documentation in Auditor Compliance tool. Once this assessment is
complete the tool provides a link to view and download a copy of their findings.
This exercise is a mandatory process to be done in every 3 years for each facility as per the
government norms. In the first year of the use, the instrument was not expected to exceed
3000 audits, however, it may reach beyond 10,000 audits in a span of 3 years.
