We, at Udhav Industries Limited, are engaged in creating contemporary building solutions for industrial,

provide complete structural solutions under one roof.
We have complete in-house facilities for drafting of drawings, manufacturing & erection of pre-engineered
buildings, portal truss systems and pre-fabricated huts. We execute large-scale turnkey projects where we
provide complete customized solutions for the client.

With UIL, I want to bring to the end-users the ability to conduct their business in the most
efficient manner and for this, understanding their requirements and optimising our own methods
are priorities. We focus on customising each building and providing our customers the satisfaction
they deserve.
In 1983, our directors, Mr. Vijay Sureka & Mr. Dhanraj Surana, started off by establishing
MahalaxmiTextile Industries, specialising in shelter solutions for the Indian Army, wherein
the major clients of the firm were CRPF, BSF & Assam Rifles.
In 1996, a new product line of Pre-fabricated Huts was developed. With this new line, along
with catering to various departments of the Government of India, we entered into the open
market. We were greatly humbled by the opportunities of satisfying esteemed clients like
Dehradoon Highway Project & Dabur India Ltd.
In 2007, we further expanded into Pre–Engineered Buildings, and thus Udhav Industries
Limited was formed. UIL is guided by 35 years of experience of the business environment
gained by the promoters of Mahalaxmi Textile Industries and is powered by the new ideas
and technology brought in by the next generation.
We, at UIL, aspire to develop world–class infrastructure, the foundation on which all industries and
professions rest. Within our building solutions, we shelter progress of both living standards and

3. Why PEB?
Low cost: PEB’s cost less than conventional RCC buildings and can be
manufactured, transported, erected and handed over to the client within a few
months’time.
.
Quick erection & relocation: PEBs can be shifted to a new location very
easily and the same material can be reused at the new site therefore it provides
greater flexibility to the client.
Resistant to severe weather conditions: PEBs are designed incorporating
resistance to severe weather conditions like earthquakes or hurricanes and in spite
of having a lighter structure, PEB’s are more resistant to such weather conditions.
The Process
Pre-engineered buildings or simply PEB comprises several components made
by welding steel plates together. All components are fabricated within the
manufacturing facility. The main operations included in the fabrication process
are cold forming, cutting, punching, welding, cleaning and painting. Fabricated
components are then transported to the erection site where the erection teams
assemble the components and erect the PEB.

6. Primary Members
Primary members consisting of
columns and rafters are the main
load carrying members of the
structural system. They are also
called Built-Up Members and are
usually an "I" shape, made from
individual flat plates welded
together.
High strength HR Plates are used in
their fabrication. Built up sections are
made from these plates in automatic
beam welding line by submerged
Arc welding (SAW).

Secondary Members
Secondary structural members are
used to support the wall and roof
panels and consist of purlins, girts,
eave struts, flange brace etc. They
share part of the longitudinal loads
that are applied on the building such
as wind and earthquake loads. They
also provide lateral bracing to the
compression flanges of the main
frame members thereby increasing
frame capacity.

8. Choice of Crane SystemsMulti Level Steel Buildings
For multi-level buildings, an intermediate mezzanine floor is included in our design. It consists of columns, beams,
joists, and edge trims to receive reinforced concrete. Floor of the mezzanine can be made out of Decking sheet or
Chequered Plates depending upon the usage of the client.
PEB’s provide the flexibility for several types of cranes options suiting to the purpose of the client for example,
Overhead crane, Mono-rail, Gantry crane, Hand-Geared Crane, Under-hung Crane, Hoist etc.

UIL Pre-fab Huts are widely used as site offices, work-
shops, labour hutments, cottages, farmhouses, and
resorts. We have supplied to clients like Dabur India,
Continental Engines, Spectro Labs, and Dehradun High-
way Project.
UIL Pre-fab is the preferred option for temporary as well
as permanent buildings. They are very low cost, have a
very quick erection time, and are weather resistant.
UIL False Ceiling is among the most widely used false
ceiling solutions in North India. We specialize in provid-
ing insulated false ceilings in a wide range of standard
and designer options.
UIL Portal Truss Systems are great for small and medi-
um scale industrial units, warehouses, and workshops.
