Relevant Projects
Face Recognition Using PCA (B.S) MATLAB
Worked on this project as a part of B.E thesis requirement. We wrote well-known PCA classifier in MATLAB.
Our system was able to identify faces from a database of existing faces given a face image as input. Our
system was robust enough to handle variance in facial expressions in input images. The project was
selected as the best B.S project in the department.
Linear Classifier to Recognize Numbers (MS) JAVA
Worked on development of system based on linear classifier that can recognize hand drawn numbers
between 0-9. We achieved 80 % recognition rate with the system.
SMS++ (MS) Visual C#
A software to provide basis internet functionalities like email access, calendar to the non-smart phone users
through SMS. My part of work was mainly concerned with website development & database management.
2. Hierarchy Generation for Online Reviews (MS)
For my final masters thesis I am working on developing an algorithm that can be used to create a hierarchy
from the online reviews about a particular product. The idea here is to generate and save only the relevant
hierarchies that can exist in a review rather than having to deal with whole of the review itself. For example
a review “The lens of this camera is awesome” can be represented in a hierarchal format as
Camera (product) lens (component) awesome (opinion).
