This presentation summarizes a student's corporate social responsibility (CSR) project on Agrani Bank Limited (ABL), a state-owned commercial bank in Bangladesh. The student aims to understand the nature of CSR and evaluate ABL's CSR contributions during normal and COVID periods. Methodology includes reviewing literature, annual reports, and comparing ABL's CSR practices to Dutch Bangla Bank Limited. Key findings are that ABL is actively involved in education, health, art/culture and sports initiatives but lags behind competitors in some areas. The student recommends ABL increase CSR spending during COVID and in the environment sector to better compete with private banks.
