• EUPHRATES -EU promotion of health
through research, applied technology,

• This is an Erasmus Mundus Action 2
Project which provides: Funding for student &
staff exchange mobility towards Europe from
India.

• The duration of mobility depends
upon both the academic level of
mobility and the Target Groups
involved.
• However the project aims to be
flexible and therefore offers its
scholars different options ranging
from one semester to 33 months.

12. Travel Subsidy
• Scholars will receive one return travel
ticket to their host university including
local travel to and from the airport.

the duration of their exchange.

13. Requirements
Candidates must meet the following specific
requirements:
• Undergraduate candidates: They must have
successfully completed at least one year of
studies.
• Master candidates: They must have obtained a
Bachelor diploma.
• PhD candidates: They must have obtained a
Master degree

14. Beneficiaries
• This project involves mobility from India to Europe.
• Candidates belonging to one of the following target
groups can be selected for an ERASMUS MUNDUS
EUPHRATES grant:
• Target Group 1 (TG1) : Students and Academic Staff
registered in one of the partner universities
belonging to the consortium.
• Undergraduate students must have successfully
completed at least one year of studies in their home
institution;

15. • Target Group 2 (TG2): Students need either to be
registered in or to have obtained a university degree or
equivalent from a HEI in India (not included in the
partnership).
• Target Group 3(TG3): Nationals of India in a
particularly vulnerable situation due to social or
political reasons as specified by the EMA21 Call.

16. Requirements….
• Ph.D. and Post-doctorate candidates: Should Contact
their respective potential supervisors at the hosting
institution before applying in order to get a preadmission
letter. In several host Institutions pre-admission/
acceptance from a supervisor will be the main /priority
condition for eligibility of the doctoral and Post-doctoral
candidates.
• Academic/Administrative Staff: Both academic and
administrative staff should contact their respective
counterpart at the host university in order to
accordingly draw up their teaching/work plan.
