Support for the transformation process Since 1989 the Foundation for Liberty has activities in the CEE/CA region.
Support for the transformation process In relatively short time many countries succeeded in establishing democratic and free market systems. The FNF supports this continous tranasformation process as well as the acceptance of these countries into the free and democratic Europe. At present the FNF has activities in 27 countries in the region.
Our goals Spreading of liberal ideal and concepts on all levels, in order to develop stable democracies under free market conditions and government of law  Support for the political and economic transformation process and their sustainable development
  Our goals Effective protection and support for the integration of the new EU member states and EU candidate countries Support for the civil society, for the liberal parties and organizations Establishing and promoting of high effective institutions and networks of liberal parties, party foundations and think tanks
Our instruments Political education Political dialogue Political cosultation …  in addition also unconventional activities like : opinion polls and film and theatre performancies
Political Education should enable more and more individuals to participate actively in the political and social processes.  With regard to this following possibilities exist:  Activities on  local, regional and supraregional level Trainings at the International Academy for Leadership in Gummersbach, Germany Online workshops at the Virtual Academy
Political dialogue Meetings of liberal leaders in order to exchange experience Regional Programme Promoting Tolerance (in co-operation with the American Jewish Committee) Promoting of successful liberal reform concepts
Political consultation Special consulting programmes for liberal parties and their youth organizations in the following areas: Liberal values Organisational structure Decisionmaking Strategic planning Coalition culture
The Regional Office Since March 2007 the Regional Office CEE/CA has a new representation in Sofia.
