Once upon a time there was a powerful Emperor
who ruled over a vast kingdom.
His palace was adorned with opulent treasures
and he surrounded himself with
a multitude of servants, advisors and luxuries.
Despite his grandeur, wealth, luxurious life and power
the emperor felt a deep sense of emptiness and restlessness in his heart.
从前有一位强大的皇帝，统治着一个广阔的王国。他的宫殿里装饰着华丽的
宝藏，他的周围也有大量的仆人、顾问和奢侈品。 尽管他拥有显赫的财富、
奢华的生活和权力，皇帝的内心却感到深深的空虚和不安。

One day, a humble wanderer arrived at the palace gates. He was a true
spiritual cultivator. This wanderer was known
for his wisdom and simplicity of life.
Intrigued by the wanderer's reputation,
the emperor summoned him to the royal court.
The wanderer entered the grand hall wearing humble robes
and carrying only a small bag.
一日，一位卑微的流浪者来到了宫门。 他是一个真正的修行者。 这
位流浪者以其智慧和简朴的生活而闻名。皇帝对这位流浪者的名声很
感兴趣，把他召至宫廷。游子穿着朴素的长袍，只背着一个小袋子，
走进了大殿。

The emperor surrounded by his opulence
posed a question to the wanderer.
“Tell me wise one, what is the secret to true power and contentment?”
The wanderer gazed at the emperor and smiled gently.
The wanderer then reached into his bag and pulled out
a plain clay cup holding it up for all to see.
被财富包围的皇帝向流浪者提出了一个问题。 “明智的人告诉我，真正
的力量和满足的秘诀是什么？”游子看着皇帝，温柔地笑了。

“Your majesty,” the wanderer began.
“This simple cup holds the secret to true power.”
The emperor taken aback by the simplicity
of the wanderer's response, grew curious.
“The cup?” the emperor exclaimed.
“Explain to me – how can a mere cup hold such power?”
The wanderer explained, “The cup symbolizes Simplicity, your majesty.
“陛下，”流浪者开始说道。 “这个简单的杯子蕴藏着真正力量的秘密。

in the simplest of things.
True power lies not in the accumulation
of material wealth or status
but in the ability to appreciate and be grateful
for what is already present in our lives.”
Interested and intrigued by the wanderer's words,
the emperor decided to put his wisdom to the test.

The emperor ordered his servants to clear the grand hall of its
lavish decorations leaving only the simple clay cup at the center.
The emperor and the wanderer sat quietly
contemplating the power of simplicity.
As time passed, the emperor began to feel
a sense of lightness and peace within him.
皇帝命令他的仆人把大殿里的华丽装饰清理干净，只留下一个简单的陶

He realized that the constant pursuit of more things had only left
him feeling empty and disconnected but in embracing simplicity
he found freedom from the burdens of
excessive desires and attachments.
With a newfound perspective,
the emperor made changes within his kingdom.

Before departing, he presented as a gift
to the emperor his simple clay cup.
The clay cup was to serve as a reminder of the power of simplicity.
From that day onwards, the emperor ruled with
wisdom and compassion using his
power to uplift and serve his people.
临行前，他将一个简单的陶杯作为礼物献给了皇帝。
粘土杯旨在提醒人们简单的力量。从那天起，皇帝就以智慧和慈悲施

The simple clay cup became a symbol of his transformation and a
reminder to all that true power lies not in grandeur
but in the beauty of simplicity.
And so the story of the powerful emperor and the humble wanderer
spread throughout the kingdom inspiring others
to seek contentment and power in the simplicity of life.
May we too remember the profound lesson from this story and embrace
the power of simplicity in our own lives finding joy and contentment
in the simplest of things .
