2. EXPONENTIAL FORM :-
The exponential form is a alternative method of expressing
number n
Exponential number for example a where (a) is multiplied
by itself n times .
3
A simple example is 8 = 8x8x8 . In exponential
notation , a termed the base while n is termed as
power or exponent or index .
4. MULTIPLYING EXPONENTS
• Law of multiplication :- If you are multiplying the exponent having same base
, keep the base same & add the exponents
5. DIVIDING THE EXPONENTS
• Law of division:- When dividing exponents with the same base, keep the base
same & subtract the exponents .
6. POWER TO A POWER
• Law of power to a power :- If you are raising a power to a power , you have to
multiply the exponent .
7. ZERO POWER
• Law of zero exponent :- any base having power zero ,exponent = one
8. NEGATIVE EXPONENTS
• Law of negative exponent :- If the base is powered by the negative exponent , then
the base becomes reciprocal with the positive exponent .
