John Cabot (Giovanni Caboto) was an Italian explorer born in 1450 who died in 1498. As one of the first Europeans to travel to North America, he discovered Cape Breton Island, Labrador, and Nova Scotia on voyages from 1497-1498. His final voyage ended when his ship was damaged in a storm and Cabot was lost at sea.

name was Giovanni Caboto. He moved to Venice in 1461 and
became a Venetian citizen in 1476. First, he was the second
explorer from Europe to travel the mainland of North
America. Second, he discover three lands, they are Cape
Breton Island, Labrador and Novo Scotia. Finally, in the final
voyage, the ship took damage in a storm. John Cabot is lost
