1. POSSIBLE A2 COURSEWORK TASKS
1. MUSIC VIDEO
A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo
video, together with two of the following three options:
 a website homepage for the band;
 a digipak for the album’s release;
 a magazine advertisement for the digipak.
I would be interested in doing a music video as I would like to work in
this industryin the future. Something to do with either producing
film/television/music. I have applied for work experiencewith MTV to
work as an assistant to a producer. This task would help me get an
insight as to what I would be doing, and help me further myskills.
2. DOCUMENTARY
An extract from an original documentary TV programme, lasting
approximately five minutes, together with two of the following three options:
a. a radio trailer for the documentary;
b. a double-page spread from a listings magazine focused on the
documentary;
c. a newspaper advertisement for the documentary.
I would enjoymaking a documentary as I have multiple ideas as
to what I could make a documentary on such as Models in the
fashion industry, something similar to popular documentaries
such as ‘Educating Essex’ or ‘Educating Yorkshire’ or even
mental disabilities. I think it would be an exciting task to
complete and would give me the opportunityto get a very high
mark for myA level Grade.
3. TV NEWS PROGRAMME - An extract/package from a local TV news
programme, lasting approximately five minutes, together with two of the
following three options:
a. two hyperlinked pages from the programme’s website;
b. a generic radio trailer for the programme;
c. a short title sequence for the programme.
Im not as interested in attempting this task as I think it would be too difficult
and not as fun for me to do, thereforeI wouldn’t completeit to a high
standard.

2. 4. SHORT FILM - A short film in its entirety, lasting approximately five minutes,
which may be live action or animated or a combination of both, together with
two of the following three options:
a. a poster for the film;
a radio trailer for the film;
a film magazine review page featuring the film.
I have a slight interest in doing the task of a short film as I have an idea
of what I could make, however I also think this could be too similar too
my opening sequence AS coursework task and therefore maynot
further my skills as I have alreadydone something similar.
5. ADVERTISTING - An advertising package for a new product or service, to
include two TV advertisements, together with two of the following three
options:
a. a radio advertisement;
b. a TV programme sponsorship sequence;
c. a web pop-up.
I don’t reallyhave an interest in advertising as I worryhow short
the actual advertisement would be that I could not show
everything that I can do and therefore it would be much harder
for me to create an advertisement worth a high mark.
Weighing up all the options, I would like to create a music video as I think it
would further my skills the most out of the other tasks, it would also be fun to
produce which means I would be more interested and excited to do it. It also
gives me the opportunity to be creative and really show my skills and ideas to
achieve the highest grade possible.
