The Big Issue magazine is the largest selling homeless magazine in the UK. The author worked as an assistant designer, assisting a team of graphic designers with layout, design, picture searching, Photoshop editing of images, and contacting PR agents to gather press photos for four editions of the magazine. The author was also introduced to the Quark computer program during this time.

The Big Issue.
I worked alongside a team of Graphic Designers as an assistant designer helping to produce four editions of the largest selling
homeless magazine in the UK. I assisted them on the layout and design of the magazine, picture searching and doing Photoshop
‘cut-outs’ of many of the images featured in the magazine. I was also responsible for telephoning various PR agents in order to
gather appropriate press shots. The computer program Quark was introduced to me during my time here.
