Information security was a priority during the upgrade and data migration. Most HQ data was
processed through the military communications center on site.
The idea behind MINERVA was to upgrade the 3000+ employee work stations and also decentralize the
data processing.
My role, was to analyze the data in the eight divisions and discern categorization of secure and non-
secure information (e.g., treatment of public vs military data). Numerous interviews were conducted
with the computer administrators and central staff. I also supported call for bids and procurement
processes.
