3. The article “Podcasting in the Classroom” written by Brian Flanagan and Brendan Calandra discussed the meaning of podcasting and how it can be used in education. In this article you learn about Duke University handing out 1,650 Apple iPods to freshmen. Before they handed out the iPods they preloaded them with an orientation schedule, academic calendar, athletic schedule , lyrics to the fight song, advice from other students , and information from Duke administrators.

4. This article also talks about how podcasting can benefit students and the different ways this can happen. When talking about the benefits there was one quote from the article that stuck out to me. This quote stated, “Podcasting, therefore, may be a cost-effective way to deliver instruction without compromising, learning effectiveness.” It also talks about how to get and create a podcast. 5. To me this article had some very interesting points. One of the things that really stuck in my head was a way to use the podcast. It mentions how it can be a quick, easy, and cheap way for students to communicate across the world. Also, when I read about the ways the students used them on their iPods I was pretty excited. I have listened to many podcast on my computer but have never thought about downloading them to my iPod. It was also helpful for me that the article had step by step directions for creating a podcast. Whenever there are instructions for something it is always very helpful to me. 6. The article “Podcasting Possibilities” written by Mimi Leonard contained some very good points. In the article the author talked about some important parts of podcasting. It discussed that podcasting can help students who are not good with public speaking, but students still need to be a good public speaker because they can’t depend on podcasting.

7. This article talks about the positives of podcasting. When reading the positives it actually gives you some ideas for ways to use it in your classroom no matter what the age. The author states, “ My younger students would almost certainly respond enthusiastically to podcasting, and the literature validates use of this instructional technology in a variety of settings.” Then it goes on to mention the different ways many teachers have used podcasting in the classrooms. 8. With this article I found many different ways I could use podcasting in my classroom. One of my favorite ways was being able to use different clips from videos and being able to add them into my lecture. Another teacher even talked about how she can send stuff to her students that are in different parts of the world. But this could even work with students who are out of town or maybe on a family trip so they will not fall behind. 9. The article “Intersection of training and podcasting in adult Education” written by Ashok K. Roy and Priya A. Roy. Both of these authors work at Universities and have had hands on experience with podcasting. One of the really interesting things discussed in this article is the cost of podcasting. Podcasting can be expensive but there are many advantages to having access to podcasting.

10. In the article the quote, “Podcasting today is one of the newest trends on the Internet” is a very accurate statement. College students all around the world are using podcasting everyday. The article also states that according to Pew/Internet study, more than 22 million American adults own iPods or MP3 players. Also, that 29% of those people have downloaded podcasts from the internet. 11. To me this article was one of my favorites because it talked about the use of podcasting at Indiana University. It talks about how many professors at all of the eight locations of the university have been using podcasting. My anatomy professor podcasted his classroom and I felt it really helped me out.
