2. COLLECTING
All 1,330 collection boxes
are emptied by 13 drivers,
who pick up the clothes
from the bins 1 to 15 times
a week; the busier a box is
the more often it is being
emptied. They take care of
the weekly maintenance of
the bins and alert the office
if when bins need to be
replaced.
8. CUSTOMERS
27% of the clothes
were exported in 2004.
Our clothing provide
business for more than
a 1,000 small thrift

Approximately 8,000
people sustain
themselves this way.

the warehouse, the
businesses which host
our boxes and the
general public.
15. MAINTENANCE
Each site is
covered by a driver
who is picks up
from the bins at
least once a week,
or more often if
needed. He takes
care of the weekly
maintenance of the
bin and alerts
Planet Aid if the bin
needs to be
replaced
16. MAINTENANCE
We have a truck that drives
around picking up bins that
need to be replaced or
maintained and then they are
brought to the warehouse and
repaired.
17. MANAGEMENT
Planet Aid’s
collection system is
monitored 7 days a
week.
Overflows, dumping
and other customer
