3. Maldivian Islands
• If you travel to Maldives, you obviously must visit as many islands as you
can.
• Some of these islands may be converted to a resort or hotel, while some
are still inhibited.
• Whichever it is, each island offers breathtaking beauty in its own way.
4. HP Reef
• HP reef, also known as the ‘Rainbow Reef’ is a marine protected area with
abundant fish life and nice soft coral.
• The reef consists of a large cave which has numerous blue soft corals and
a swim through called ‘The Chimney’.
• Schools of Jack and Trevally, Rainbow Runners,
Barracudas and Tunas, and even Eagle Rays and
Grey reef Sharks are common marine life in this
area.
5. The Maldive Victory
• Maldive Victory is a wreck sunk in 1981, near the sandy bottom next to
the Hulhule reef.
• This 3500 tons, 83m long freighter stuck the reef at its full speed while
sailing from Singapore to Male with supplies to resort islands.
• The wreck is a great protection to the marine life in the area, as it acts like
a shield against the strong currents.
• If you visit Maldives, don’t miss the chance to dive around this iconic
wreck.
6. Coral Garden
• Also known as the ‘Blue Lagoon’, this long reef on
the South side of the Thaburudhoo Kandu has
plenty of options for diving.
• This a truly amazing place in the paradise with
great coral garden with lots of reef fish inside and
with Grey Reef Sharks swimming outside.
7. Glow In The Dark Beach
• When you see this amazing glowing beaches, you will find it hard to
distinguish whether it’s in real life or not.
• The beaches in some of the Maldivian islands glow at night, thanks to the
sensitivity of some of the organisms in the beach’s sand.
• This is a must visit place in your travel to Maldives.
8. Manta Point
• The Manta Point is about 1km long where Mantas flock around during the
North East monsoon season.
• The Manta Point has ledges, caves and overhangs that are deep, and filled
with fish.
• Other inhibits of this area are, Sea-Fans, Sea-Whips, Soft Coral, Squirrel
Fish and even Big Dog Tooth Tunas, Napoleons and Sharks.
