11. Testimonials from
our partners…
Oriana Antonaropoulou, P.M. of Athens Development and Destination
Management Agency (ADDMA)
By participating in the “Polis²” theme, as part of the “This is Athens”
program, Creators of Cosmos demonstrated a unique approach to cultural
heritage management as an added value for tourism.
The company was a success story, utilizing all available tools, recognizing
in a timely manner the concerns that accompany the implementation of a
pilot intervention, consistently adapting to all requirements.
The managers showed professionalism and a cooperative spirit to solve
any problem and became valuable partners in the successful outcome of
the effort. Utilizing the company's philosophy as a means of revitalizing
urban areas of specific cultural value, ADDMA was able to obtain additional
data on how it can attempt holistic approaches to the exploitation of
symbolic products.
Zoe Korre, CEO - Product and Planning Manager Pace Odyssey
Last year we partnered with Creators of Cosmos to implement educational
activities for schools. From the first moment we realized that the company
is not just a LARP production team, but a company with scientific staff that
pioneers in many fields, with professionalism and creativity.
Their participation in the experience activities - whether it is a historical
game in Nauplius for high school children, or it is an exploration of the
history of Parnitha for primary school students, or for designing a game
exclusively for students from Palestine and Turkey in history center of
Athens - were collaborations that were crowned with absolute success.

Editor's Notes
As Europe’s popular culture goes global in the early 21st century, it signifies its potentiality as a set of soft-power resources that may have a significant and complex impact on cultural diplomacy as well as on trade, tourism, the academy, and other national interests across various contexts. Therefore, Greece may rise as one of the most significant cultural diplomacy stakeholders, as other countries did, in particular the U.S. government, that has used the film industry as a resource. Indeed, soft power co-opts people rather than coerces them, and soft power is the ability to entice and attract. In addition, the soft power of any country rests primarily on three resources: the attractiveness of its culture, its political values, when it lives up to them at home and abroad, and its foreign policies, when they are seen as legitimate and having moral authority. Thus, this is the introduction of the first Greek hybrid enterprise, dedicated to jumpstart a hybrid policy of FET in CCI in Greece.
One might ask why now, why in Greece? According to OECD our country lucks in opportunities to establish its presence as a major player in four business sectors, whilst doesn’t seem able to create and exploit hybrid products that could answer its needs to become a global value chains stakeholder. Especially in relation to tourism there is great distance to cover in terms of transforming our traditional product of Sea and Sun into new viable solutions.
Our LARP scenarios create a “safe environment”, for our participants to identify different skills and capacities of personal and professional growth in a gamified way, or just for fun. Wherever we establish a game we act as leverage tool for cluster economies creation, cultural heritage management, natural environments perseverance.
Our business model allows our products to connect with all traditional business sectors and upgrade them into the dominant trends, whilst act as a lever of new investment, when applying LARP-operational friendly guidelines. Thus, the company's perspective includes specialized design of services in order to achieve the optimal cost-benefit ratio, able to attract participants of all economic classes.
A more analytical presentation on the previous slide showcases the two kind of personas we are looking for
Our exposure has also been increasing these previous 19 months
An Overview of H2020 FET projects allows us to identify the sectors which have been included already to the EU’s policy, that is: Especially in the field of art and science (which is the reason I am presenting to you today regards to major initiatives:
All the aforementioned sectors of engagement have been included in a prototyped Statute of Composition that has already been identified as Best practice by the Hellenic Fiscal Association. A business model that has already received verification as a Success Story by the Municipality of Athens, and international recognition both in EU and Asia, and to be more precise in Korea, where we were invited as members of the Advisory Council of the Better Together Challenge 2019, organized by World Culture Open, in order to offer the regional government of PyeongChang guidance and ideas on how to exploit the former Olympic Plaza area, of total 163.000m³ were the last winter Olympic Games were held, into a peace-themed landmark and enhance a sustainable regional development..
Although we are the only company – at the moment – in the world professionally exploiting LARP scenarios, this doesn’t mean that we are not facing market competition. Already a vast number of local based initiatives are at large. Yet again we can’t discuss these efforts as direct competition, thus we will present you our indirect competitors.
The market is mostly country-based offering plenty of space for private initiatives. Just to give you an example. As of 2018, 46% of travelers from 29 countries answered that they would make reservations in a hotel, just to undergo the procedure of training in order to bring a fantastic character to life. That emerging trend combined with other forms of experiential tourism riches a total of 72% only in the US Market. Adventure tourism is also on the rise with war tourism already blossoming in the Balkans. At the moment, we don’t face direct competition rather than indirect competition from the presented companies on the chart.
Technology played an important role in the evolution of LARP, driving traditional players to join millennials creating global phenomena of online role-playing communities. As we identify gamers as one of our most important markets and early adopters, although there are numerus games related to MMORPG, we compared ourselves with an app that includes minimum LARP characteristics and evolves into a phygital environment. Pokémon Go. Although we are far from reaching the app’s technological advantages and disadvantages, it allows us to calculate a conversion rate that showcases a part of our TAM, hoping to grow in numbers when the second version of our games launch, using holographic environments.
This is an estimation of our profits in the years to come based on our existing partnerships and submitted applications in various co-funded programs.
