2. Total Recipe Weights:
136 grams Coconut Oil 76
113 grams Sunflower Oil
62 grams Cocoa Butter Golden Natural
74 grams Mango Butter
50 grams Emulsifying Wax Traditional
12 grams Beeswax
20 grams Olive Oil Pomace
18 grams Raspberry Lemonade Fragrance Oil
15 grams Arrowroot Powder
5 grams Vitamin E Oil
5 grams Optiphen Preservative
1 grams Lemon Peel Powder
7 grams Vegetable Glycerin
2 grams Titanium Dioxide Oil Dispersible
680 grams Granulated White Sugar
Step 1: Use a double boiler to melt your coconut oil, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, mango
butter, emulsifying wax, beeswax, and olive oil.
Step 2: While you are waiting, in a large mixing bowl, weigh out 680 grams of sugar. Set this
aside, we will come back to it later.
Step 3: Prepare your lemon peel powder and arrowroot powder. You will need 2 small bowls.
To the first bowl add 1 gram of lemon peel powder and 7 grams of vegetable glycerin. Mix the
two ingredients together to create a paste. We will use this later in our yellow layer. In the
second bowl add 15 grams of arrowroot powder. We will come back to these in a later step.
Step 4: Once your oils have melted, remove them from the double boiler. Allow the
temperature to drop to 120-140 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, add the optiphen, Raspberry
Lemonade Fragrance Oil, arrowroot powder, and the vitamin E oil. Mix to incorporate the
ingredients.
3. Step 5: Now, add the oils to the bowl of sugar you weighed out earlier. Stir to incorporate
the oils into the sugar.
Step 6: You will need separate the sugar scrub into 3 bowls. You will need to add about 400
grams of the scrub to each bowl.
Step 7: Each of the bowls you just separated will be a different color. To the first bowl add 5
drops of neon pink, 2 drops ultramarine violet, and 2 drops tomato red FUN Soap Colorants
and mix to incorporate the color. Next, to the second bowl, add 2 grams of titanium dioxide
and mix once again. Finally, add the lemon peel powder mixture and 15 drops of the neon
yellow FUN Soap Colorant. Again, mix well to incorporate the colorant.
Step 8: Lastly, put the scrub into jars. This should be done once each bowl reached room
temperature. First, place a pink layer into each of the jar. Then, add the white layer to each
of the jars. This white layer should be placed directly on top of the pink layer. Top each
scrub off with a yellow layer. Place a lid on each jar and the scrubs are ready to use.
We hope that you enjoy our pink lemonade scrub recipe!
