This document is a letter of recommendation for Peter Melenewycz from KK Aitchison, who has worked with Ronphos Corporation and Nauru Rehabilitation Corporation (NRC) in Nauru for 14 years. Dear Sir or Madam:
I have contracted on Nauru for the past 14 Years on Project Engineering works
for Ronphos Corporation, who is the end user for the Phosphate Rock Mined by
the Nauru Rehabilitation Corporation who Peter headed up until his recent
resignation from his role as CEO.
The role of both Ronphos and NRC are critical to the economy of Nauru
employing a combined work force of 1000 plus employees, a very difficult task.
The role of the 2 enterprises CEO’S has a huge impact on the Island Nations
Economy as Phosphate is its only export and the largest employer on the Island.
The running of the NRC enterprise is not only Mining but rubbish removal and
running of the Islands Land fill, Tree Felling and Land cleaning both for domestic
and Mining.
Road building and maintenance, running of a very large heavy machinery and
vehicle work shop and a shift basis.
The handling of Land Ownership and Land Owners as well as Ministerial and
Political matters is both very complicated, and at time requires great skill in
obtaining positive results.
Having worked in several locations across, PNG, Indonesia, Fiji, New Caledonia,
Nauru is the most difficult to achieve the goals required to meet the
Governments Expectation’s, in Revenue and Employment.

2. When you take in to consideration the above difficulties and challenges and the
close working relationship between the two Corporations, with regular
interactions with Peter and his management team.
I have no apprehension to endorse his skills in Corporate Management, Lateral
Thinking, handling of very complex Political and Land Owner Issues and
achieving the goals set for NRC.
