Persuasion and Follow-up –
The tongue can paint what the eye can't see.

“If you would persuade, you must appeal to interest rather than intellect.”
~Benjamin Franklin
“Persuasion is about creating an environment that lets two or more
people find common ground and beliefs. The fine line between
persuasion and manipulations revolves around intent. Typically
persuasion has a very positive connotation while manipulation does
not” .
01
Following-up is not just an activity but also a strategy or law of
Persuasion which not just benefits you but also the over-all
business. You need to know the essentials of what the
person in front of you wants and how would you persuade
him/her to get your work done on time!
02
03
There is no standard approach to following up, change your
strategy based on the person, situation and
deadline(deadlines are important, but remember not to be
pushy just because you have a deadline)

Basics of
Follow-Up -
Persuasion
Following up will let the Client know that you are interested in working
with them and reminds them to complete the task given their busy
schedule. Client needs to know how much you care. Following up
after a meeting or major life event, or even a simple “thank you”
message can help you solidify relationships and make them Clients for
life.
Follow-Up : A Regular Habit
56%
A study by Harvard Business
Review found that 56% of customers
complain about poor follow-up.
48%
of clients that experience a poor
follow-up go on to tell at least 10
people or more about their bad
experience.
People work with people they like, so why wouldn’t you want to build a friendly and mutually beneficial
relationship with your clients? Client’s inboxes are crowded, so we need to break through the noise. This
is done by creating a personal connection, instead of cold-calls and plain email texts. Make it a regular
habit(A Thank You note will do if you do not have any excuse to follow-up or keep them warm about you
being there for their requirement support).
