The Winged Victory of Samothrace, also known as Nike of Samothrace, is a famous ancient Greek sculpture discovered in 1863 on the island of Samothrace in the Aegean Sea by a French vice-consul. It was brought to the Louvre Museum in Paris that same year, where it has since dominated the Daru Staircase.
