Paul Klee was born into a musical family, with his father being a singing teacher, his mother a singer, and his grandfather an organist. Although he learned to play the violin as a child, Klee preferred painting. His grandmother taught him to draw with colored pencils from a very young age. To become a good painter, Klee studied at an art school. Like all artists, Klee would sign his name on his paintings. He painted many paintings using bright colors. He became very famous and his paintings are now exhibited in museums around the world, including a museum dedicated solely to his work in Bern, Switzerland.
