Alfresco is introducing a new cloud connected content platform that will allow users to access and collaborate on content from any device. The platform will integrate with cloud services and social media channels, while still being controlled by the enterprise. This new platform addresses limitations of traditional on-premise solutions and cloud upstarts by providing both on-premise and cloud capabilities with open integrations and a common data model. Alfresco's cloud service is now available for organizations to sign up and begin using these new cloud connected content features.
Agile Integration Architecture: A Containerized and Decentralized Approach to...Kim Clark
Microservices principles are revolutionizing the way applications are built, by enabling a more decoupled and decentralized approach to implementation, creating greater agility, scalability and resilience. These applications still need to be connected to one another, and to existing systems of record. Agile integration architecture brings the benefits of cloud-ready containerization to the integration space. It provides the opportunity to move from the heavily centralized ESB pattern to integration within more empowered and autonomous application teams. We look at the architectural differences in this approach compared to traditional integration, and also at how it enables more decentralized organizational structure better suited to digital transformation. You can read a more detailed paper on this approach at http://ibm.biz/AgileIntegArchPaper. Implementing zero trust in IBM Cloud Pak for IntegrationKim Clark
Architecting for cloud native requires a completely different perspective on security. The attack surface, and the potential attack vectors have completely changed. Most of the past assumptions around people, processes, infrastructure and more are no longer valid. You have to assume any vulnerability will be exploited, and trust no-one - whether external or internal. You have to look at threat modelling to inform and prioritize the approach, and implement security based on defense in depth. This deck and webinar explore what steps we have taken to implement a "Zero Trust" model when we re-architected the integration portfolio to create what is now Cloud Pak for Integration, and how customers can build upon these in their own integration solutions.

Portable Apps across IBM Kubernetes Service and IBM Cloud Private (#Think2019...Michael Elder
Building apps to run in your local Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes environment is easy and straightforward. A common packaging mechanism based on container images and open source Helm to distribute your Kubernetes apps can be produced to your continuous delivery pipeline. These apps can then be deployed wherever needed. Deploying in your datacenter? Great! You can run Kubernetes with IBM Cloud Private anywhere! Want Kubernetes but don’t want to manage it yourself? Great! You can consume Kubernetes-as-a-Service with IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service! In this talk, we’ll demonstrate how to leverage each of these offerings to build and run apps. We’ll also cover some of the nuances of running in a hybrid cloud operating model.
This presentation is about The IBM Cloud, what it is? why do we use it? what are the key features of IBM Cloud? Tools and Services provided by the IBM Cloud, Pricing, and also shows the basic of getting started with IBM Cloud Dashboard and key features.
According to IDC, in 2013 “the worldwide smartphone market reached yet another milestone, having shipped one billion units in a single year for the first time”. This was an increase of almost 40% over 2012. If much of your business runs on CICS, you have probably already exposed at least some your CICS applications to the mobile world. But are you exposing these services in the optimal way for your company? Come to this session to discover what the supported options are for mobile exploitation in CICS Transaction Server, CICS Transaction Gateway and z/OS Connect. This session will compare and contrast the options available, so you can understand what is right for you. It will also demonstrate how you can use IBM Worklight with CICS TS to optimize your mobile deployments. Make sure your phone is on silent – you won’t want to be disturbed in this session.

While the smartphone is now standard equipment in the enterprise, a new device — the tablet — has become the fastest growing computing device in history. These content-centric devices are quickly demonstrating value for sales professionals, field service technicians and executives alike, and IT departments everywhere are scrambling to understand the implications of supporting them.
The enterprise workforce is rapidly changing. More than ever end-users are driving this change by forcing the adoption of new consumer tools within the enterprise. This has led to a proliferation of different tools and leads to a lack of control. This webinar will discuss how a combination of Alfresco 4, mobile apps and the cloud can help companies collaborate any device, from anywhere at any time.
Join CIGNEX Datamatics, Alfresco’s Global Platinum Partner, as they share the case study experience of a leading global online university. Together we’ll take a close look at their document management and web portal solution and their integrations with Alfresco ECM, Liferay Portal and Moodle Learning Management System.
The use of social media is growing and is seen by many companies as a natural extension of how to engage with their customers. Register for this webinar and see how Alfresco 4 can help manage the process of publishing social content and status updates.
The Cloud is creating a fundamental shift in the way users and companies engage. View these slides and learn how you can leverage Cloud Connected Content to collaborate both within and outside the firewall. How you can more effectively work with partners, accessing content wherever you want on whichever device you want.
Cloud Native Patterns with Bluemix Developer ConsoleMatthew Perrins

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
