Number Patterns In Pascal’s Triangle
PASCAL’S TRIANGLE
 In Mathematics, Pascal's triangle is a triangular array of the binomial
coefficients. It is named after Blaise Pascal, a French Mathematician and
Philosopher.
 To build Pascal’s triangle, start with “1” at the top, then continue placing
numbers below it in a triangular pattern.
 In Pascal’s triangle, each number is the numbers directly above it added
together.
 The construction of Pascal’s triangle is shown below:
Patterns Within the Triangle
 Diagonals:
 The first diagonal is, of course, just “1”s.
 The next diagonal has the
Counting Numbers (1,2,3,…)
 The third diagonal has the
Triangular Numbers.
 The fourth diagonal has the
Tetrahedral Numbers.
