Parents face new stressors raising children in the 21st century, including impacts on children's health from home and school factors. A presentation titled "The Challenge of Parenthood in the 21st Century" will discuss these stressors, health impacts, and how to help children become calm, alert and ready to learn. The presentation will be given by the Director of the Canadian Self-Regulation Initiative and the President & CEO of the Institute of Families for Child and Youth Mental Health. It will take place on February 19, 2015 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Abbotsford Arts Centre.
