Introduction To The Company
• Location: R&D in Bhosari, Manufacturing in
Hinjewadi.
• Tata Toyo manufactures aluminium-based radiators,
inter coolers, heater cores .
• Over 300 different heat exchangers have been
designed, developed in the last 11 years and are under
supply now.
• Radiator has over 600 variants according to the
requirements over the customers.
• The key customers of Tata-Toyo include Ashok-
Leyand, Fiat, Force Motors, John Deer, Mahindra &
Mahindra, Mahindra-Navistar, Man Force and Tata
Motors, among others.
Problem Statement
To develop a parametric model of radiator header
plate and to generate its drawing sheets on a
single click after entering the driving
parameters in the parameters box.
Objective of the work :
1. Making a parametric model of radiator Header
plate.
2. All the variants of the Header Plate in same base
model by application of relations in PRO-E.
3. To programme various parts and model making
techniques to modify the header plate according to
the input given by user.
4. Also we had to automatically generate the drafted
views of the Part for manufacturing purpose.
5. objective to generate model of these large variants
of radiator header plate within short time but along
with considerable accuracy and finishing
Our approach towards the problem
statement.
• Studying the sheet provided to us by the company.
• Selecting the driven parameters based on the
driving parameters.
• Developing relations among them.
• Modelling the base header plate of two row with
the dimensions we want to set as driving.
• Developing the derived relations in Pro-E.
• Again studying the sheet for the drafted views.
• Developing the drafted views according to the
company requirements.
Header Plate
Scope of the project for the
company.
1. Saving the time for the modeling of the various
variants of header plate.
2. Developing relations between the parameters
and various dimensions of the plate.
3. Moreover by studying the methodology
adopted by us in making the parametric model,
they can implement it for other various parts
and hence can save time.
4. In the company even if an hour is saved it is
very crucial for the further processing to be
done.
Benefits to us :
1. Getting proficiency in software's like Pro-E.
2. Getting to know the relations terminology in
pro-engineer and how the customization is done
to save time.
3. Getting chance to work on live project in
company and interacting with the seniors.
4. Successful completion of the project will be of
use for the company in future as mentioned in
the next slide.
