PROFILE
I am a second semester student at Berklee. I strongly believe in the power of dreams
and in lifelong learning, that’s why, even if I am a teacher of public school in Italy, I
am currently taking a sabbatical from teaching to advance my studies at Berklee. I
have recently declared my major in Music Therapy, while also exploring my
songwriting abilities.
I was born and raised in Sicily, in a family full of artists. My grandmother was an
organist, my grandfather a tenor and a painter, my father a drummer and singer and
my older sister an opera singer.
I learned to paint and sing even before I was able to write. At 10 I started my
musical life, becoming part of the children’s choir in one of the main theaters in
Italy. After 8 year spent singing Puccini and Bizet, Mozart and Britten, I was forced
to stop. Now, finally, after two bachelor degrees in psychopedagogy and education,
two specializations in teaching methods for children with special needs and a
master in Infantil Glottodidactics, I decided to follow my dreams and come to
Berklee.
Thirsty for learning always something new, here, I will study what I was born to do
and will find a path to bridge my interests between the theatre, the stage and the
classroom.
