This document provides descriptions of Pantone colors selected for the Spring 2014 season. It describes 12 colors: Placid Blue, Violet Tulip, Hemlock, Sand, Paloma, Cayenne, Celosia Orange, and Radiant Orchid. The colors range from neutrals like Placid Blue, Hemlock, Sand, and Paloma to brighter shades like Cayenne, Celosia Orange, and Radiant Orchid. Most colors are described as either neutrals that work well combined with other colors or bolder shades with their own dramatic presence.

2. Placid Blue
◦ If we look at this particular shade of placid blue
we are accustomed to the fact that it can be a
background to every other colour in nature.
◦ A rather unconventional usage of blue as a
neutral colour. If we think of blue as neutral we
see that it will stand on its own for its reassuring
and peaceful calmness.
◦ It will work with every other colour in the colour
spectrum.

3. Violet Tulip
◦ It is a vintage colour which evokes a wistful,
nostalgia
◦ It stands all by itself all combines with many
other colours.

4. Hemlock
◦ Is understood as a neutral colour
◦ It works as a background colour
◦ They remind us of spring time
◦ It is an ornamental green meaning it will serve
well as an accent to many coulours.

5. Sand
◦ It is a toasty amicable, neutral, beach and care
free days
◦ Great colour for combinig with other
colours.
◦ A wonderful sense that we can feel very
comfortable in this colour.

6. Paloma
◦ It is a neutral colour as it is a grey colour.
◦ It has softness but you can base an outfit on
this coulour.
◦ You can feel comforted and comfortable.

7. Cayenne
◦ It is high-pitched and a dash of spicy energy.
◦ It is a bright colour that will bounce of the
neutrals and the light tones.

8. Celosia Orange
◦ It really is a lovely, spontaneous and optimistic
orange.
◦ It has a bit of sophistication to it.

9. Radiant Orchid
◦ The name really describes it.
◦ It is a bold counterpart to violet tulip.
◦ A coulour that stands on its own as it has a
sense of drama.
◦ A beuatiful iluminating quality attached to it.
