Description: The training at Lohia Corp Limited was a mix of classroom sessions and practical sessions. The
classroom sessions taken by the workshops managers helped me understand the details about the various
equipment, principles and technology behind their working, and using them on the shop floor. The practical
sessions comprised of the visit to the shop floors where I could see the classroom knowledge being implemented in
practice and how the basic tasks are achieved using the conventional and non-conventional machines. I had worked
on winder assembly shop, in this shop performed many steps before assembly and after assembly of the machines
and its parts. This vocational training helped me understand practical implementation of various theories and
designs which I had studied during my course. It was a good industrial exposure for me, specifically in the area of
manufacturing of packing bags machine.

2. PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
Project: SOLAR TRACKER BASED VEHICLE
Objective: To make the regular contact between
solar cell and higher intensity of sun rays and
reduce the running cost of vehicle.
Description: In this model of solar energy based vehicle, the solar cells rotate in the direction of high intensity sun
rays. This automation had been achieved by the use of photo sensor which was operated by the programming the
integrated circuit which can sense the darkness and brightness. Induction motor was used for running the vehicle
wheels. The project was conceptualized with the goal of how effectively utilizing the available solar power. This kind
of (tracking) arrangement also optimizes the use of battery by the device using solar power.
