The letters are positioned in

To show that anyone can contribute to the changemaking effort. The
photo also refers to woman, who at first glance may not look the part,
but that changemaking is about the voice not the face.

16. HYPERBOLE
The photo represents that changemaking is indeed challeng-
ing, but should not cause physical or mental duress.

17. PERSONIFICATION
The photo is intended to demonstrate that changemaking starts
and end with people. And that not everyone wants to be in the
limelight, but rather that anyone can contribute to the change-
making efforts.

18. DESIGN 4
Biology dictates our physical attributes, and the face can be an indicator. Meant
to be a shock, but also to normalize the disability community as well. To show
that people with physical differences deserve the same amount of respect and
opportunity as everyone else. The image is meant to evoke pathos.

19. DESIGN 5
The rhetorical devices used is logos- showing that excessive drinking can indeed
leave to a hangover- with physical characteristics to show it. The photo evokes logos
for the user to make smart decisions.

20. DESIGN 6
The intent of this photo is to showcase, the signs people need to be
aware when they see an individual suffering from a stroke. Meant to
evoke pathos as a means to inform viewers to be aware and know the
signs of a stroke.

34. Abstract Art : The Human
Experience
The abstract art shown above is twofold. Reflecting on a personal level, while also on a
broader, system level.
The image reflects the internal struggle survivors of traumatic experiences often face. The
image is a gateway to the often privy evolution of how people cope and deal with life’s
challenges. The image speaks volumes, on a number of different fronts on an individual
level. Often, I have been in this awkward and uncomfortable space between needing to
take care of myself; both mentally and physical, while at the same time wearing and faking
the smile, acting as if everything is ok. While in reality, nothing seems okay and nor does
the guilty feeling of doing self care subside.
On a system level, the photo represents two faces that students in particular feel but try
to suppress. Looking ahead and staying up to the steady surge of assignments, staying up
more often, in the wee hours to complete. But behind the face is the internal struggle to
stay sane. To be mentally competent while trying to maintain the parts that make upthe
human evolution.
