Nous avons trouvé intéressant, sachant les problèmes qu’il y a entre les indiens et les pakistanais depuis la partition en 1947, de les rapprocher en montrant qu’ils ont aussi beaucoup de points communs. Le « slide » nous a permis d’intégrer nos photos, prises en Inde et au Pakistan, pour montrer les ressemblances entre les deux pays. Le message de ce montage est que malgré les problèmes politiques, les différentes guerres et la haine qui anime les pakistanais et les indiens les uns envers les autres depuis 1947, ils ne sont pas si différents. En cherchant dans nos photos, nous en avons trouvé plusieurs qui montraient presque la même chose, et nous les avons rassemblées sur ce montage par thème : enfants, femmes, hommes, mosquées, vaches, etc… pour que les ressemblances sautent aux yeux de celui qui regarde. La dernière photo montre la frontière indo-pakistanaise. Nous avons volontairement choisi de ne pas de mettre de texte sur les photos, car le but était de montrer des ressemblances évidentes, qui se passent de commentaires. La phrase de fin vient conclure le montage « mais finalement sont-ils si différents ?», question à laquelle les photos ont déjà répondu : non, les pakistanais et les indiens ont bien plus de points communs que de différences, d’où l’absurdité de cette haine qui persiste.
