We had been searching for a vacation home to purchase for a couple of years. Both of us were born and
lived in Nova Scotia for 45+ years so we knew the spot would have to be in a rural area with limited tourism,
friendly people and affordable. We have found this and more at Viewpoint.
We spent a week in early December on a “stay and play”. During this week my husband went fishing with a
local fisherman, we did a snorkeling tour at a beautiful cove, while on route we followed a mother whale
and her calf, watched a couple of dolphins play and saw local birds and took a short 10 minute drive to a
local beach and played in some of the best waves ever. One evening at dinner, the restaurant where we
were eating hosted a traveling circus act with four talented artists. Most afternoons you would find us at
the local beach, sipping beer and eating guacamole.
We snorkeled the local cove and reef and took pictures of local sea life. After returning to View Point and
enjoying the spectacular sunset we would walk back into the village for a crepe at “Chely’s”. The local
people were friendly and made every attempt to help us in any way possible. At no time did we not feel
safe.
We purchased our condo before leaving and will take possession the end of January 2013. Lastly, we would
like to thank Brent and Erin for being fantastic hosts and to the rest of the owners for welcoming us and
inviting us into their homes as friends. We look forward to spending time getting to know each of you.

When we visited Viewpoint and saw what they have – by comparison -we fell in love – not only with the
development but with Brent and his oh so charming wife, Erin (and of course he is as well!!). Apart from the
most idyllic setting and a well constructed and beautiful building, this very nice and accommodating couple
really did help us in making our final decision to purchase and we did that in 24 hours!!

Our Stay & Play experience was what sold us. We were met at the airport by Brent who make us feel so
welcome right away. On arrival at Viewpoint we met his beautiful wife Erin and together they wasted no time
in making us so comfortable and immediately showed us the unit we were interested in. They began showing
us one of the fun spots that very first evening, by taking us out for dinner. Easy to relax and enjoy yourself
around them. They showed us some of Puerto Escondido, helped us rent a car and took us out a couple more
times to some of their favorite haunts, but at the same time left us to explore on our own. Brent was available
to answer any and all questions as well as show us all available units.
The Stay & Play was terrific in that we got to live at the development for a week, talk to other owners and really
see the area. The most fabulous way to experience what you are getting. Don’t hesitate.

What we like most about my unit at Viewpoint is the spellbinding view of the Pacific Ocean and the
activity of local fishermen on the water as they cast their nets and bring home their catch of the day.
Their fishing patterns really emerge and it is interesting to watch them. But most of all, we are
awestruck by the regularity of whale sightings right off the point by the pool and our growing collection
of photographs. Our Viewpoint unit is tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings, and the
craftsmanship of the interior is exceptional. The layout is perfect for our needs and easy to maintain. It’s
nice to be able to unlock the door, unpack our suitcases and just relax. There is no work involved when
we get there.
We love the Viewpoint Development in regards to the social aspect with fellow condo owners from all
across Canada. It’s nice to see the same people each time we visit and build budding friendships. We
also like to take day trips and go to restaurants with each other. Travelling in groups is not only a social
outlet, but is economical as we share in the transportation. Coming to Mexico and staying at Viewpoint
is a new way of living for us. It’s not just a vacation spot. The staff at Viewpoint is extremely helpful and
friendly. We love the wildlife and picturesque lagoons, beaches, towns, and villages. The atmosphere is
laid back and the Mexican people are friendly and accommodating. They are very family-oriented and
you always see them together. We love the culture, the people, and the way of life. Puerto Angel is a
working fishing village, and we would much rather soak up the local scene as opposed to visiting a high
traffic tourist spot with crowded beaches. We feel perfectly safe at Viewpoint.

My husband and I decided that we wanted to own our own vacation property in Mexico and began
doing research in 2010. We explored a couple of places on-line. Some places would not even respond to
our inquiries. However, Viewpoint was very responsive and we decided to spend our 2011 holidays
there. Are we ever glad that we did! The pictures on the website are fantastic but do not even come
close to seeing it in person. The 2 bedroom condo we stayed in was extremely comfortable and well
stocked. There wasn’t anything lacking. The other owners were very friendly and were willing to answer
all of our questions.
During our stay, we explored the many beautiful beaches in the area, and enjoyed the five star dining in
the evening. There was no need to make reservations at the restaurants. We did a tour of the
mangroves, the Turtle Museum, and a fantastic three bay boat tour with a stop at a beautiful secluded
beachside restaurant for lunch, to name a few. We even spent a day at Puerto Escondido, an hour down
the road. However, my favorite was the informal “happy hours” at the pool side with the other owners
after the day’s activities and before supper. The weather was fantastic and the evenings did not require
a jacket. We were undecided whether or not to buy a condo when we left, but when we got home and
realized how much we missed the views, the whale and dolphin watching and the relaxed atmosphere
that comes with staying in a small fishing village, as opposed to being in a large tourist area, we decided
to purchase our own slice of paradise. We haven’t seen our own completed condo yet, as it is just being
finished to our tastes, but so far the process has been fairly painless. We can’t wait to go back.

We love the view from our suite and the convenience of being able to walk 5 minutes down the hill into
Puerto Angel for a beer and a bite on the beach.

What we love most about our Viewpoint Condo is the amazing view from our suite and the pool, with
whales, dolphins and manta rays making regular appearances. We appreciate the quiet laid-back
ambiance of the Puerto Angel area and getting to know the local people, who have been nothing short
of friendly and accommodating. It truly is an authentic Mexican experience which has enriched our
family’s lives. The property’s location is ideal; private and secluded, yet only a short walk from the
amenities of town, and only a short drive from a wide array of tourist sites. We discover unique
restaurants, shops and places every time we visit. We love to share our condo with extended family and
we have all fallen in love with the place!

We made a wonderful decision in March of this year. When we visited Viewpoint and saw what they have, by
comparison to other developments, we fell in love. Apart from the most idyllic setting and a well constructed and
beautiful building, this very nice and accommodating couple really did help us in making our final decision to purchase
and we did that in 24 hours!! The condo is situated on a high bluff overlooking the ocean with lovely bays, the sound of
the crashing waves, birds swooping around, early morning fishermen at work and as well, high enough up to capture
the gentle off-shore breezes meaning that air-conditioning would rarely need to be used most of the time. While we
only stayed 2 nights at Viewpoint, we had the opportunity to visit 2 of the local restaurants in Zipolite, a nearby village.
The food, while not Mexican per se was of the highest quality,1/3 the price of similar restaurants in Montreal and
fantastic ambience. As well, in driving around, we noticed several very nice shops and some up-scale boutiques
scattered amongst the typical Mexican stores.
One aspect that really appealed to us, in comparison to the resort, was the quiet and low key feeling that exists at
Viewpoint and in and around the surrounding area. The fact that you can walk to the village of Puerto Angel in 10-15
minutes to shop for fresh produce and seafood as well as other basics is also very appealing as well. We found out that
the University of Mexico has a campus in Puerto Angel and we plan to enrol in the Spanish courses this winter. Another
big plus for us is that Oaxaca is a 6 hour drive ( it will be down to 4 hours when the new divided highway opens in the
Fall) and having been there on 3 different occasions, we will certainly to go there a couple of times during our stay. It is
a beautiful, large, and very exciting Colonial city and well worth a 3 day or longer stay.
You should be warned that If you are looking for exotic and busy night life with clubs, bars and casinos – this would not
be the place for you. On the other hand if a you want a nice tranquil life style with a lot of wonderful nature trips and
outings, wildlife, 5 beautiful secluded beaches within a 5 mile radius and be with like-minded other owners – THIS IS
THE PLACE FOR YOU.

No question, what I like most about my unit was the view. I was so impressed that I bought 2 units! The
floor to ceiling windows brings the ocean right into your living room…it’s kind of like front row seats at
the Imax! We spend countless hours on our balcony reading and occasionally catch a glimpse of a whale
swimming by or a giant manta ray feeding along the shoreline. The units are bright and spacious and
nicely appointed with tile and granite. As for the furnishing….let your imagination run free. Our lower
unit is particularly attractive because it has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with a lower separate bedroom and
bath (can you say huge!) that could be rented as a separate studio suite.
What first sold me about the development were the principals that were building it. I have had a
business relationship with the developers for many years and therefore had faith in their ability to
follow through with a truly remarkable product. I was impressed with their vision and the uniqueness
that was assigned to each and every unit. Being in this development is very akin to being on the prow of
a ship with the senses overwhelmed by the panoramic (>180 degrees) view and the ever present
crashing of the waves below. The development team has been very responsive to suggestions and ideas
presented by the owners resulting in the provision of a lovely pool, covered lounge area and B-B-Q, not
to mention the security, laundry facilities and support by the staff and on-site team. What I like about
the area are the unspoiled beaches, myriad quaint restaurants and most of all the pace of life. This is
the laid-back non-commercialized Mexico I remember and what I left the craziness of the Mexican
Riviera around Cancun for! Furthermore, I feel safe here and have no concerns about walking through
Puerto Angel at any time of the day.

Together with my husband we travelled to Huatulco the end of March 2012 and were met at the airport by Brent and
his amazing wife Erin – both were very hospitable and ensured we had everything we needed before delivering us to
the most spectacular location we have ever seen – Viewpoint!
We have travelled both coastlines and Puerto Angel and Viewpoint are absolutely breathtaking and it was love at first
sight. A huge ‘thank-you’ to the sales team for providing a service bar none to any other. Needless to say we purchased
what we believe to be the most spectacular condo in the entire area.

What we love best about Viewpoint is the peace and quiet; The kind of peace you just cannot find anywhere else. We
love the views and the quiet, warm nights sitting on the balcony watching the fisherman and the stars…stars not seen
in Canada. The food…in a word: exceptional. Every trip reveals a new surprise. Little hideaways worth exploring are
everywhere. We are humbled to meet and become friends with the humblest, hardest working and inspiring individuals
we have ever met. What don’t we like about Viewpoint…having to go back to the airport to return home. We will retire
to Viewpoint.

We love our villa at Viewpoint!! Beautiful views, tranquility, and a laid back lifestyle with amazing weather year around
had to meet our requirements as we searched for our “piece of paradise”. We found it at Viewpoint. Easy access to
awesome beaches, great food, and lots of entertainment, there is plenty to do…..or do nothing at all. Ahhhh…it’s
almost time for a margarita!!!

There is really only one word that describes the view from our condo at View Point – Amazing. We purchased our
condo in 2010 and have never regretted it. Our 12 year old son loves swimming in the ocean at the local beach and the
pool is a nice place to relax if you want to stay around the condo for the day. Weather is never an issue. It is always
beautiful We have managed to get down there twice a year each year and hope to extend those periods time in the
future. The staff is amazing and they treat us like family. If you need anything they go beyond what is necessary to help.
There are times when it is just my son and I that go down to the condo if my husband can’t get away. I feel completely
safe travelling around the area. We walk to the beach everyday and grab a cab if we are travelling to another little
town. The people at the restaurants are friendly and the local beach is a great place for kids and adults to swim. We
love it and can’t wait to get back down this winter.
Neil & Joyce G – Coquitlam BC
After many years of contemplating purchasing property in Mexico and frequent trips to more northerly destinations we
were introduced to the Huatulco area, attended a presentation and headed down to acquaint ourselves with the
Huatulco coastline and the Viewpoint property. We knew right away that the constant sunshine, blue waters of the
Pacific with its abundant sea life, breezes off the ocean, and comical birds soaring on the air currents would fill our
days. Once we rounded the curve of the road up to the property and spied the building surrounded on 3 sides by the
ocean we were hooked. We worked with the developer to create our unit to our liking and moved in December 2010.
We have spent 2 winter seasons at Viewpoint getting to know the other owners, venturing out to the countless scenic
spots along the coast, wandering the little villages, sampling the local cuisine and around the pool sharing with our new
friends all of our gathered knowledge of the area. The availability of quality food products– fruit, veggies, meat, fish
and bakery products leave us wanting for nothing. What a perfect way to avoid the damp cold winters of home and
share our wonderful life at Viewpoint with family and friends. Although there are flights into the Huatulco area we have
made the drive down from Vancouver these past 2 seasons and will do so again this year. It is a most lovely way to see
the country, with its vast ranch lands, seaside villages and fields of papaya or pineapple with roadside stands where one
can purchase a jug of fresh cold delicious juice. This is the life.

Wayde B – Calgary AB
My wife and I started traveling to Mexico around 11yrs ago to get away from the cold winters and hustle and bustle in Canada. I’m sure it’s
pretty much the same story for most of you, heading down for some fun in the sun. We travelled to a few areas there and finally purchased in
Playa Del Carmen Mexico in 2001. It was a sleepy fishing village with a small home town feel, much like going to our lake in Canada where the
people are friendly and you don’t have to lock your doors. Over the years the small sleepy village grew from 5000 people to now over 300 000.
We found it was becoming to commercialized and that small home town feeling was now long gone. We decided to look around in other areas
and stumbled upon the Huatulco coast line in Mexico. We booked a trip and when landing looked out the window to the breathtaking bays all
along the coast line. We stayed right in Huatulco for a few days to become familiar with the area, it has around 20 000 plus people and all the
amenities at your finger tips. We decided to rent a car and explore the coast line travelling from Huatulco all the way to Puerto Escondido
around 1 1/2 hour drive. It has a population around 35 000 and has a very surf/hippy vibe. The one place we did fall in love with along the
coastline was the small fishing village of Puerto Angel, the population is less than 10 000. We started to get that small home town felling again
and when speaking with the locals we new this is where we wanted to be.
On the plane ride back to Canada we had decided to sell our unit in Playa Del Carmen and look for a place in Puerto Angel. A few months later
we were back on a plane to Huatulco, we stayed in a few places near Puerto Angel to get the lay of the land and started looking for our new
vacation home. One of the locals we met along the beach told us of a new luxury condo complex that was being built on a cliff overlooking the
town. This sounded very interesting and when touring the local Marine University we could see the construction on the opposite side of the
bay. We jumped in a taxi and told the driver to take us to the condo complex under construction overlooking the town, he said “se senior” that
is called Viewpoint. He said it with such enthusiasm and began to tell me how all the locals were proud of this building. It was bringing work to
the local economy for them and when driving up the complex i could definitely see why he was so proud. It was like a picture perfect post card,
300 degree ocean views and you could hear the waves crashing along the coast line. We thought this is the place for us, a custodian came up
to us and gave us a tour of the complex. The finishing in the show suite was so high end, it made my house back in Canada seem almost poorly
done. Granite, stainless steel, marble every where, and those incredible ocean views! The next day we contacted the sales rep for the complex
to enquire about the price, condo fees, etc. I can tell you we were blown away by not only the reasonable price but also the low condo fees,
they were both almost 1/2 of what we had paid in Playa Del Carmen. We negotiated a deal directly with the developers who are from Canada
so we saved on any commissions and or Realtor fee costs that would have been added to the price. They also made arrangements for the
furniture and blinds company to come to the condo and decide what we needed, Antonio and Erica from Casa Bonita were great. They even
arranged for the housewares and electronics for us, we didn’t have to lift a finger. The transaction went so smoothly and when we arrived
back down to the complex when our unit was finished for the final walk through, it was just turn key.
We have met so many great people from the complex and the representative for the developers live right above us, Brent and his wife Erin are
a hoot, great fun. We liked the complex so much we even talked ours friends into buying units at Viewpoint right across the hall from each
other. Oh yea and we haven’t had to lock our door yet Were looking forward to next season and to meet some of the recent new owners.
Cerveza for every one, see you by the pool.
