Our Wall of Champions Aug/Sept 2014
Golden Ticket Winners
Golden Ticket awarded to Georgie Plavetic, by James
Lester, UK Corporate Director. Georgie has been the
global lead for the Condeco project, putting in many
hours and late nights whilst she supports both the USA
and APAC. She has engaged with business stakeholders,
delivered training sessions for both vendors and PA's and
worked closely with Condeco to ensure a smooth go-live.
Georgie is an inspiration not only to her team, but to the
ISS contract.
Golden Ticket awarded to Jai Piple, India, by
Simon Titchener, Chief Operating Officer, for
seamlessly managing transition of 2 critical sites in
Mumbai – Powai and Nirlon - without any impact
from his BAU operation. Jai’s contribution has been
widely acclaimed by senior Barclays stakeholders in
various forums.
At ISS we are constantly striving to deliver service excellence to our clients.
We want to recognise our team members who help us drive that highest
level of customer service. The Golden Ticket is only issued by the Senior
Leadership Team (SLT) to recognise outstanding customer service. Once an
SLT member decides to award a Golden Ticket to a team member, the team
member will need to hand this ticket to their line manager.
Quarterly Apple Winner
Citizenship is an important area of the bank’s strategy and is driven by the Barclays CEO, Anthony Jenkins. Barclays use
Citizenship to engage their teams and contribute in a positive way to the wider society. Barclays encourages
Citizenship throughout all areas of its global business.
Over the past year, Sue Leonard has consistently demonstrated a complete understanding of our client’s business opera-
tions by aligning the ISS Corporate Responsibility agenda to the Barclays Citizenship Pillar throughout the Channel Islands,
and supporting Barclays with a variety of activities.
Areas which Sue has supported, driven and promoted, include:
Setting up and driving the first ever BIFM society in the Channel Islands to allow local
industry professionals to achieve facility management qualifications
Chairperson of the Disability Network in the Channel Islands
Developing and issuing the Barclays Diversity Calendar
Coordinating a workshop which educates the Barclays employees on dyslexia in the workplace
Supporting cancer charities through various events during 2013
Investing time in a local football club
Supporting key Barclays charity and fundraising events.
Through all of the activities above, Sue understands the importance of working with our client as we use Citizenship to em-
bed the working partnership at Barclays CRES FM.

Leona Klimesova, Czech Republic -
Leona has constantly demonstrated
extremely high levels of support for the
whole team and all employees of Barclays.

team to support this, creating 289 bags of rubbish and 44 crates of IT kit.

tina takes part in Citizenship vol-

Completion of the fit out of East Quay 5, Newcastle, saw the relocation of Barclays
staff and equipment from Cross House to East Quay 5. Whilst many items of furni-
ture were moved, the projects team made no allowance for the relocation of the
World War 1 (WW1) Memorial plaque, which lists the names of all former Barclays staff
from the local area that gave their lives in the Great War. The importance and poignancy
of the memorial, more so this being the centenary of the outbreak of WW1, was recog-
nised by the local ISS staff; a combined team of engineers, fabrics and security took this
on as personal project. The memorial, which weighed approximately 200kg and is made
from cast bronze, was removed from Cross House and transported to East Quay 5. It took
all 5 members of the integrated team to man handle the plaque and mount it in place on
the wall within the reception of East Quay 5. The plaque was too heavy to mount directly
on to the wall so the team purchased materials, fixings and boarding and built a support
step and a backing support to secure the plaque in place. With the plaque now in place,
Barclays now intend to hold a small memorial ceremony with some of the relatives of the
fallen soldiers listed.
GEM Award winners
Maria Luisa Barcón Minchán and Antonio Barriga
Villena, Europe - GEMs awarded for the successful
coordination of moves related to the Madrid consolidation

For identifying significant energy savings and
all potential issues with the recent FET works.

support of the client for any technical issues and tasks as
well as BAU. They are always going the extra mile, thinking of
the additional benefit and effort to the team, the account and
the client.
Erik Ramatov, UK - Erik came to the
aid of a customer in need of assis-
tance, and went beyond his way to en-
sure adequate support was provided to
the gentleman.
GEM Award winners
GEMs awarded to Enrico Sigismondi, Marco Maria Corno and
Stefan Costache, Italy, for the recent success in their coordina-
tion and participation of the moves, archives reorganization
and dilapidation works related to the HQ consolidation Project, from
January to July (1523 moves per month) among the three corporate
buildings (Forlanini, Arconati, Moscova).
Works were coordinated on site especially to avoid any impact over
the bank operations, mitigating risks and meeting on time all requests
from the final users. Enrico, Marco and Stefan performed over and
above their job requirements, supporting with the coordination of ac-
tivities and helping to mitigate the impact on the client thanks to their
spontaneous, proactive and positive attitudes, with proven expertise
and competencies of their jobs.
Omni Team, Frankfurt - GEM awarded to the entire Frankfurt Omni team for the

to respond to. Colin, using a wheel chair, took the
casualty to the main reception and called a taxi.
The casualty did not have any money to pay for
the taxi and the Catering department were unable
to assist. Colin, with no questions asked, paid for
the taxi in full.
Desmond O’Sylva, UK - Desmond was
proactive in identifying a system fault
which would have impacted on the mid-rise
turnstiles in 1 Churchill Place. As a result of
