Our experience with Sweden

We had a cultural exchange project with a Swedish school where we had two Skype meetings to share information about our countries, cultures, holidays, and education systems. The project provided an interesting opportunity to learn about other cultures and get to know each other. The Swedish students were curious about aspects of our education system like having school on Saturdays and mixed-gender classrooms. While their English skills seemed stronger than ours, communication went well. Continuing the project would be a great learning experience for both schools.

Norway puppet presentation
Several grades at the International School of Bergen in Norway participated in puppet-related activities in March 2016. Grade 1 and 2 students visited a local puppet theatre and watched a performance. Grade 1, 2 and 3 students, along with their parents, attended a puppet workshop where they made sock, paper, cardboard tube, and stick puppets. Grade 4 students made their own puppets. Some students later used their puppets in language lessons by writing and performing puppet plays. The puppet workshop was well-attended and interactive, providing fun for both students and parents.

Our experience with Sweden
- 1. Our experience with a Swedish school We had a project with them about knowing our countries
- 2. We did two Skype meetings and wrote a lot of things about us and our cultures, festivities and our school systems.
- 3. It’s a very interesting project, because we can learn about other cultures and get to know each other

- 5. They were very interested on the fact that we have school on Saturdays and we don’t have girls in the class.
- 6. I think that their knowledge of English was better then ours, but I could understand them rather good. I’m the best! No, I’m the best! No, I’m better than you! No, … No, … Hahaha… Not again… What the …!
- 7. It’ll be great to continue this project for us and I think for them too! I’d like to continue this project! Me too!
