The document examines the relationship between support for radical right parties and the salience of radical right issues in mainstream party platforms in France. Using vector autoregression models, the study finds that higher salience of radical right issues in mainstream party platforms significantly improves predictions of radical right party success, but not vice versa, providing circumstantial evidence that issue salience causes, rather than responds to, radical right support. However, the analysis is limited by the small number of observations in France and requires testing in other Western European countries.
Does deliberation reduce the gap between citizens' and legislator's ethical ...kai-arzheimer
Given the country's lack of a strong Catholic culture, extraordinarily high levels of medical expenditure, and the dominance of private-sector actors in the health market, the regulation of bioethical issues in Germany is surprisingly restrictive. Recent legislation on Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is a case in point: Only under considerable external pressure and with a bare cross-partisan parliamentary majority did Germany move from a complete ban to a new set of rules that are still much more restrictive than those in Belgium or the UK.
An analysis of legislators' preferences (Arzheimer 2015) suggests that comparatively high levels of religiosity as well as the existence of a 'blue-green' issue coalition is responsible for this restraint. Citizens, on the other hand, seemed to show higher levels of support for the new regime and perhaps even support for further liberalisation. Although PGD is currently a niche issue, the existence of such a representational gap demands scholarly and political attention, because the ethical issues associated with Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and other advanced medical techniques will become more and more salient in Western societies in the coming years.
In my talk, I will present first findings from a large-scale survey experiments that looks into the preferences of the general public on PGD and a number of similar issues. More specifically, I investigate four inter-related questions:
1) Is there indeed a sizeable gap between MPs' and citizens' preferences on PGD?
2) Would citizens support a further liberalisation of the PGD regime?
3) Are citizens' preferences shaped by the same determinants as those of their MPs?
4) Can the gap between citizens and MPs be narrowed by making citizens reflect on arguments from a parliamentary debate?

Skyharbour also explores for gold in Red Lake, Ontario and owns copper-zinc and gold properties prospective for base and precious metal deposits. The company is led by an experienced management team with decades of expertise in mineral exploration.
At first glance, iMetal Resources was just gearing
up to explore its wholly-owned Gowganda West Project. The prospective property is located less
than 1.3 km south of Tahoe Resources’ 4 million ounce Juby gold deposit (1.1 million ounces
Measured & Indicated, 2.9 million oz. Inferred), 20 km WSW of Gowganda Ontario, and 90 km
SW of Kirkland Lake Ontario.
• After a season of extensive prospecting and fieldwork, the project has become even more
compelling. So much so, in fact, iMetal increased its land position five fold: from 20 km2
to 105
km2
.
• Historically, the property has seen almost no exploration - mainly because it’s covered by glacial
overburden as well as meta-sediments as opposed to the easier to prospect meta-volcanics
(greenstones). However, “windows” within these meta-sediments and late-stage intrusions
cutting through them prove that gold, silver, copper and even cobalt are present.
• This past year, IMR has identified and sampled a number of these “windows” on its property. Grab
sample results assayed as high as 56.59 g/t gold, 15 g/t silver, and 2.6% copper. What is
particularly interesting is that two of these “windows” lie 5 km apart along a common structural
trend and the associated mineralization may be part of a larger system just beneath the surface.
Further exploration, as well as geophysics and a drill program may provide the market with some
exciting results

13. CAPTAIN EAST TARGET – DRILLING SUMMARY
Hole C11-02 was drilled to a depth of 185 metres at the eastern edge
of a magnetic high intersecting a monzonite intrusive, minor pyrite.
Hole C12-01 was drilled 400 metres east of hole C11-02 to a depth of
499 metres, intersecting sericite-pyrite-quartz-carbonate over 250
metres - pyritic halo, outer phyllic shell around the porphyry.
Hole C11-01 was drilled 400 metres east of hole C12-01 to a depth of
255 metres and intercepted highly potassic-sericite-carbonate
altered volcanic rocks, porphyry dykes and hydrothermal breccia.
Assays from this hole returned an intercept of 87 metres from 127
metres grading 0.230 g/t gold and 0.03% copper, including 43 metres
grading 0.298 g/t gold and 0.09% copper and 16 metres grading
0.434 g/t gold and 0.133% copper.
Geochemical data combined with the geophysical signature
indicate a mineralized porphyry system strengthening to the east.

14. CAPTAIN ‐ EAST TARGET ‐
PETROGRAPHIC ANALYSIS
Hole C11-02 was drilled to a depth of 185 metres at the eastern edge
of a magnetic high intersecting a monzonite intrusive: no petrographic
analysis conducted.
Hole C12-01 was drilled 400 metres east of hole C11-02 to a depth of
499 metres: results show a pervasive alteration assemblage of
sericite/pyrite/quartz/carbonate over approximately 250 meters from
100 meters to 350 meters down hole. This indicates that the hole
intersected the pyritic halo in the outer phyllic shell around the margin
of a porphyry system.
Hole C11-01 was drilled 400 metres east of hole C12-01 to a depth of
255 metres: results show an alteration assemblage consisting of very
fine grained ankerite/potassium feldspar with minor kaolinite/sericite
and abundant magnetite/hematite, overprinted in part by coarse-
grained potassium feldspar. Fine-grained chalcopyrite, associated with
magnetite and pyrite, is disseminated throughout the core interval.
This alteration assemblage indicates a high temperature environment
