2. The objectives of the SWC are:
To provide a platform for student feedback and discussion on issues concerning programs, services, and
activities of the faculty, specifically:
To function as a One-Stop-Centre for students to refer to within the Faculty
To act as the front liner of receiving students’ feedback or concerns
To provide feedback on programs, curricula, and learning and teaching issues
Advise the Dean on issues concerning students’ view on programmes, services, and activities of the
Faculty
To advise on policy relating to student affairs and welfare
To advise on the enhancement of student activities and ideas for campus (student) life
To advise on the enhancement of student facilities
Focus on all relevant student issues determined by current events and/or by suggestions of committee
members
To review orientation processes and practices of each constituent (department/school) in order to
ensure these programmes meet the better needs of all students
To work closely with the Student Affairs Office of the University to gain support for resourcing the
operations of the Faculty
