Description:
The purpose of this project is to implement how credit card transactions are
processed and settled. When a cardholder uses a credit card to purchase
merchandise or obtain a cash advance, the transaction moves through a process that
involves authorization, clearing and settlement. Each step of the process involves an
exchange of transaction data and money that must be settled and balanced. This
process ends when the cardholder pays for the merchandise or the cash advance
listed on his/her monthly statement.
Responsibilities
Wrote PL/SQL stored procedures and triggers to implement business
requirements.
Made use of the REF CURSORS in stored procedures for report generation.
Involved in the creation and modification of different PL/SQL object like
Packages, Stored Procedures and Triggers.

Somerfield Retail Food Stores sells various numbers of products. Somerfield have
various stores and maintains databases with lots of historical data. The system has a
database, which stores information about sales, profits and contacts of customers.
Using this existing database, the system should analyze the sales and profit and
generate reports for Sales and Profits in month wise and year wise. The resulting
model gives us an idea about growth in profit, forecast about increase in sales. The
data system was further used to do Market Based analysis. The data system plays a

to make decisions to bring more revenue to company with new policies.

damage-free conditions, thereby minimizing total cost of a company, subject to
satisfying service requirements.
Achieving strategic fit between the company’s competitive strategy and
supply chain strategy will lead to effective Supply chain management solutions that
can decrease costs by up to 5%, which has same impact on profit as 30% increase in
sales.

Procedures were generated for modules like payrolls, employees about to
retire for the current year, total number of employees to be recruited etc.
