This measure is aimed to promote investment in targeted activities in three provinces – Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, and Rayong, as well as to encourage private sector to participate in human resource development. As EEC development is part of the policy to drive Thailand towards Thailand 4.0, investors in the targeted activities located in designated areas or in promoted industrial estates/industrial zones, or the investors involved in the human resource development in the EEC will enjoy additional tax incentives, apart from a standard tax package.

2. One Start One Stop Investment Center (OSOS)
“Thailand Offers Investors Comprehensive
Services at One Location
”Thailand’s investment promotion regime has long been among the most
successful in Asia, due to consistent government policies that support
the private sector as the engine of growth.
The One Start One Stop Investment Center or OSOS started its operation
in November 2009. Its presence offers investors greater convenience in
dealing with multiple agencies located throughout Bangkok. The OSOS,
which operates as a part of the Board of Investment, brings together
staff from investment-related agencies at a permanent location on the
18th floor of the Chamchuri Square Building on Rama 4/Phayathai Road
in Bangkok’s Central Business District.
For businessmen interested in investing in Thailand, Thai or foreign, big
or small, BOI-promoted or not, the One Start One Stop Investment
Center offers investors a wide range of investment-related services.
To begin with, OSOS staff help investors with various applications to
make sure investors understand what is needed to register a company,
obtain investment promotion privileges, obtain a foreign business
license, complete an environment impact assessment, request
permission to use land for industrial operation, obtain utilities etc.
In addition to assisting investors with procedural matters, staff from
numerous agencies will be made available to consult with investors on a
range of topics. What this means is that if an investor has a question that
requires an interpretation from more than one agency, rather than
having to go from office to office in search of answers, the matter can be
addressed by relevant experts at the OSOS.
The highly-successful One Stop Service Center for Visas and Work
Permits is located across the hall from the OSOS, offering added
convenience.
OSOS Extends its Range of Services
In July 2015, the OSOS took a further step to add more services as a part
of government policy to enhance convenience for investors. More
agencies participate in providing information and consultancy related to
doing business in Thailand at the OSOS, on topics such as science and
innovation, source of funds, banking and financing.
Thailand is encouraging investment on International Headquarters (IHQ)
and International Trading Centers (ITC), and investment in Special
Economic Zones, with fiscal incentives and other support, in order to
assist investors with increasing their competitiveness and capitalizing on
the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). With this, investors will further
benefit from Thailand’s strategic location in Southeast Asia to gain
access to growing markets, and resources, such as raw materials and
labor, in neighboring countries. The OSOS is creating an enabling
environment for investors by also acting as a:
• One Stop Service Center for International Headquarters (IHQ)/Inter-
national Trading Centers (ITC): providing information and consulta-
tion on application for privileges from the Revenue Department and
Board of Investment, and related issues.
• One Stop Service Center (in central Thailand) for Special Economic
Zones: providing basic information on Special Economic Zone and
linking with other One Stop Service Centers located in each Special
Economic Zone, to provide local information and assistance on arrang-
ing on-site visits.
