First Place Mentors is an online community that connects students seeking internships or placements with mentors who have completed placements themselves. Mentors are current or former interns and placements students from various companies who provide first-hand career advice and information to help students better prepare for placements. Companies benefit by having mentors promote their organization to students, giving them a campus presence. This helps companies attract better qualified applicants, retain outgoing interns, and maintain engagement with students.

1. Who Are We
First Place Mentors is a community of Undergraduate mentors who have
undertaken an internship or placement themselves. The aim is to engage,
enlighten and empower students who are wishing to gain an internship or
placement. First Place Mentors provides a ready made platform which allows you
to utilise the resource of your outgoing and current placement & intern students
to help attract better prepared and highly motivated new talent who have a
genuine interest in working for your organisation.
How It Works
First Place Mentors is an online community of trained mentors.These mentors
are a mixture of current and past interns and placement students who have been
handpicked by you! You have full control over who represents your company as
a mentor so you can be assured they are of a high standard. You can guarantee
your mentors will be fully prepared as it will be your responsibility to provide
your mentors with the accurate and up to date company information. In addition
we will be providing further general mentoring training and support. First Place
Mentors will be promoted through the Bright Futures network, University Career
Services,Academics, LinkedIn and other social media tools.
