Elder Michael A. Dunn was called as General
Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints on April 3, 2021, at the age
of 63.At the time of his call as general authority,
he had served as a member of the Twelfth
Quorum of the Seventy in the Utah area.

2. “Instead of being frustrated by the restlessness of
our oscillations between sin and repentance, what
would it look like to narrow our focus within a
broader vision? Instead of seeking perfection in
everything, what would happen if we improved on
just one thing?”
“Could adding small but steady marginal gains to
our lives finally be the path to victory over our most
vexing personal shortcomings? Does the approach
of taking small steps to address our weaknesses
really work?”
Reflect for a moment...

3. “Can small adjustments lead to the desired
"powerful change"? (See Alma 5:14) If
implemented properly, I am 99 percent sure
they can! But the only caveat to this
approach is that for small gains to add up,
there must be consistent, daily effort. And
while we probably won't be perfect, we
must be determined to combine
persistence with patience.”

4. “But far surpassing the silver or gold of the world, our
precious promise on our way to eternity is that we will
indeed "[triumph] in Christ. "11And as we commit to
making small but constant improvements, we have the
promise of attaining "the incorruptible crown of glory. "12
In order for us to enjoy that incorruptible crown of glory, I
invite you to examine your life and see what is holding
you back or even causing you to stagnate on the
covenant path. Then broaden your vision. Look for
additional small corrections that are possible to make and
that result in the sweet joy of becoming a little better.”

5. Every effort we make to
change, no matter how small it
may seem to us, can make a
big difference in our lives.
