Old and new aspects of Oslo are observed, including mustard-colored houses near the Oslo Cathedral from the 19th century, the Parliament building, the Grand Hotel overlooking the Opera House, and two Nobels sites visited in one day. The author's favorite quirky places in Oslo include the Vigeland Sculpture Park, a ski jump above the city, and opportunities to swim and sauna in the Oslo fjord.
