Module 1—Intelligence researcher (1 Day Course)
Course Outcomes
The Operational Intelligence Analyst Course (OIAC) is designed to
enable students to become role ready in an intelligence workplace.
The course is delivered across four modules each of which
demonstrate competency in critical areas of intelligence practice.
Upon completion of module 1, students will be familiar with the
intelligence workplace, the intelligence cycle and the traits of an
intelligence professional. They will also be able to demonstrate
competence in an intelligence research and collation role in support
of qualified analysts.

Day 1
 Introduction to intelligence practice
 The principals of intelligence
 Intelligence disciplines and collection practices
 The intelligence cycle
 The analysts role in direction
 The analysts role in collection
 Collation skills
 Course Review and student feedback
 Assessment of objectives
Assessment
Upon completion of the course students will have 24 hours to
complete an assessment to demonstrate knowledge of intelligence
principals and practice as well as competence in fundamental
collation activities.
