Dear Dr. Salvador:
In reference to the IAEA sponsored training for Mr. Ocampo from April to May,
2002, and since I have knowledge of the IAEA MEX/01029P project (Dr. Carlos Chavez
was my student), I recommend that Mr. Edgar Salazar also attend the training. Mr.
Salazar has been involved in establishing the hardware and software for the network for
the simulator. Mr. Ocampo could dedicate his activities to the development of the
application and Mr. Salazar to the requirements to link models with hardware and
simulator. I have followed the development of the classroom simulator and the activities
require someone that has experience in computer systems, like Mr. Salazar. Such
experience can make better use of the hardware/software resources of the Penn State
Center for Academic Computing´s Visualization Immersive Environments Testbed.
This invitation for Mr. Salazar to participate in the IAEA sponsored training with
Mr. Ocampo will not require any additional training expense. Mr. Salazar will be
expected to arrange funding of his travel, housing, per-diem, and related personal
expenses.
We look forward to an excellent training session. Please let me know if there are
any questions.
Sincerely,
Robert M. Edwards, Ph.D., P.E.
