The Librar-e Turkey Project is a 28-month pilot project involving 26 provinces and 52 district libraries across Turkey. It aims to promote public libraries and librarianship in Turkey. Проект с договор № BG161PO002-3.3.02-0001-C0001 е финансиран по приоритетна ос
3, мярка на подкрепа 3 на оперативната програма “Техническа помощ”, съфинансирана
от Европейския съюз чрез Европейския фонд за регионално развитие.
По проекта се създаде Областен информационен център в община Хасково. Той е част
от създадените 28 областни информационни центрове (ОИЦ), чиято дейност се
координира от Централен информационен и координационен офис (ЦИКО).
Общата стойност на проекта е 417 087,70 лв., като размерът на безвъзмездната
финансова помощ е 100%.
Договорът за БФП бе подписан на 12 юли 2011г., като срокът за изпълнение на
проектните дейности са 36 месеца.

Европейска кохезионна политика
Европейският съюз (ЕС) се състои от 27 държави-членки, съставляващи общност и единен
пазар от 493 милиона граждани. Между тези страни и техните 271 региона обаче продължават
да съществуват големи икономически и социални различия. Европейската кохезионна
политика е в центъра на усилията за подобряване на конкурентната позиция на Съюза като
цяло и на неговите най-слаби региони в частност.
Чрез Европейския фонд за регионално развитие (ЕФРР) и Европейския социален фонд (ЕСФ),
известни също като Структурни фондове, както и чрез Кохезионния фонд той инвестира в
хиляди проекти във всички региони на Европа за постигане на своята основна задача: да
насърчава икономическото и социалното сближаване чрез намаляване на тези различия между
държавите-членки и регионите. С бюджета си от 347 млрд. евро за 2007–2013 г. Кохезионната
политиката е най-големият единичен източник на финансово подпомагане на равнище ЕС за
вложения в растеж и работни места, предназначени да позволят на всички региони ефективно
да се конкурират на вътрешния пазар.
