OBSERVATIONS OF THE
        DAY
    By Epp Leikop
Why these places?

I decided to take a closer look
at the shops that I use most
often and usually all inside the
           same day.
  So come shopping with me.
1. Surprising that most women were shopping alone

2. Seasonal clothes are up front but after that I
have no idea why they have placed their products
the way they have.

                            3. I ve always liked that the
                            stores salespeople are
                            normal women just like me.
And I like that they are
                            wearing their own clothes.
1. The perfume smells give me a
headache when I have to stay
there for longer time!

2. It is noisy with music and lot of
people just talking

                                       3. Very good selection of products with
different prices. All the products have
been orginized well by subject matter and
                                       by price.
1. Surprising to me was that so many people just pick up a book, find a
nice sofa for sitting and start reading it on the spot. Not sure if they are
also going to buy what they read.

2. It is a very friendly place with cozy 3. Very easy to notice where
atmosphere and good coffee. the on-sale books are!
1. First thing everyone notices about this shop is their strange business
hours. For example on workdays they are opened from 12.12 – 19.19.

 2. They are dealing with gems but the store feels like a second hand shop.
There is no galmour in the shop.

                              3. It s hard to see prices and
sometimes hard to find what you
                              want.
1. First thing I see when entering the shop – BANANAS!!! Estonia has
nothing to do with bananas but they are the first thing most food stores will
present to you.

2. Do we really need all that alcohol? So much space
in the store is taken by alcohol shelves.

                            3. Not enough space for the lines
                            in check-out point.
* Most shop floors were just ordinary
white or ivory tile floors.
* Tile floors make a perfect sense in
our climate because they are easy to
clean.
* But they could be more playful: use
more colors, make patterns etc.
