The document provides instructions for students to plan a hypothetical trip to a destination of their choice. They must research destinations, choose one and provide a reason for their choice in a report. They then book travel arrangements like flights and hotels. Students work in pairs to create a PowerPoint presentation and oral presentation about their trip plans, selecting from suggested activities. They will submit their presentation and receive a grade based on criteria like fulfilling requirements, language use, attitude and effort. Finally, students will leave feedback on the teacher's blog about the webquest activity.
Maternal hypothyroidism early in pregnancy was associated with fetal distress later in labor requiring emergency c-section delivery. Women who were severely hypothyroid (FT1 <0.6) at initial presentation were more likely to experience fetal distress compared to those who were mildly hypothyroid or euthyroid (3% vs 56%). Fetal distress correlated with low FT1 and high TSH at initial presentation, as well as low hematocrit at delivery, but was independent of these factors later in pregnancy. Early adequate treatment of severe hypothyroidism in pregnancy is important to prevent fetal complications.

"Can you just look over these new screens for us? Oh, and can you check the error messages too? It won't take long!" If you've been asked to review a web or standalone application's user interface but don't know what to look for other than checking the text, then this session is for you. As technical communicators, we are often in a position to identify usability problems related to the logical flow, layout, and structure of the interface; inconsistencies in the design; non-compliance with standards and guidelines; ambiguous wording on labels, error messages, dialogs, and onscreen user assistance; performance issues; functional errors; and the like. Rhonda shares practical checklists of things to look for when reviewing an interface, as well as various tools that can assist you.

The new kid on the block - hexavalent vaccinesGaurav Gupta
This document summarizes a presentation on hexavalent vaccines given by Dr. Gaurav Gupta. It discusses the efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity data from clinical trials of hexavalent vaccines compared to whole-cell and other combination vaccines. Indian data is presented from a clinical trial of a hexavalent vaccine administered at 6, 10, and 14 weeks of age showing high rates of seroprotection and a favorable safety profile. Schedules using hexavalent vaccines that include vaccination at birth allow for a simplified 0, 3, +/-1 year immunization schedule for hepatitis B.
The document contains short phrases from different countries about friendship and adversity. It states that prosperity makes friends while adversity tests them, like birds of the same feather flocking together. It also notes that an evil friend can hurt the mind worse than a wild beast hurting the body, and that finding a good friend can require trying many melons like trying many people.
The document describes four people - Melanie, Tom, Sandra, and George - providing brief physical descriptions of each including their height, weight, and hair color. It notes each description and whether it correctly identifies the person.
