3. New Teacher Conference - 2011 I Can’t See the Darkness By Jazmine Bunch The blind is somewhat lucky, not being able to see, but even if not, they still wouldn’t see what's in me The world is so dark, and so full of hate, no one can see the light, for its twas too late. They have a chance in the world, for they can’t see, What possibly happens, to you and me. The Darkness! The Darkness! It’s coming so soon, all of which, our eyes have become immune. They’ve eyes may be open, but they still can’t see, all the evil forming, in you and me. Jazmine Bunch, a sixth-grade student at Ahoskie Elementary School, attend-edthe New Teacher Conference in Atlanta Beach on April 1-3. Jazmine recited her rendition of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech to the conference attendees. She also recited a poem that she authored entitled, “I Can’t See the Darkness” which was inspired by literature she read from Helen Keller.
