In connection with World Environment Day-2023 celebration, Dr. N. G. P. Institute of
Technology on 5th June 2023, - National Service Scheme (NSS) in association with RRC and
YRC club have conducted a Rally to create awareness about World environment conservation in
our college campus. Around 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in the event and have taken
the UNITY PLEDGE with honourable Principal Dr. S. U. Prabha, flagged off the rally in the
presence of Mr. S. Dineshkumar . Subsequently, the volunteers, participated in the UNITY RUN,
to create an awareness about the importance of “SAY NO TO PLASTIC” and also we raised the
quotes during the rally like“3R’s”,”CLEAN INDIA,TO BRIGHT FUTURE”,”AVIOD THE
PLASTIC,TO SAVE THE EARTH”. Mr. V. Praveen Kumar, Mr. P. Chandrasekar, faculty
coordinators of NSS, and volunteers and group of students participated in it and we took pledge
to save nature and created awareness among the students, staff faculty to conserve the
environment and we planted some number of trees in action to conserve the environment and
society
