Narrative Summary
Describe the employee's performance for each Critical element. A narrative summary must be written for each
element assigned a rating of Exceptional, Minimally Successful, or Unsatisfactory.
Janelle has been rated "Fully Successful" for her field work at Death Valley in 2010. She led an
archeological crew on two pedestrian survey projects: a front country wildland fire survey project and a
clearance survey for palm tree removal. During those projects she completed archeological site condition
assessments, documented new sites, and completed Assessment of Effect forms documenting the
surveys. She has participated on numerous field projects, and been on several backcountry camping trips.
She is well versed in using the electronic field equipment, including various models of GPS units, digital
cameras, etc. She takes good notes and photos, and properly documents archeological sites.
